Giacomo Baldelli, Italian guitarist based in Reggio Emilia, has always focused  his activity on contemporary music, including in his repertoire many works by the most important composers of the 20th Century, such as Donatoni, Petrassi, Schoenberg etc. Also he has collaborated with the most interesting Italian young composers such as Antignani, Agostini, Casale, Cosmi, Ferrari, Nenna, Rebora, Sani, Solbiati, Trevisi,Vacca.
   This activity drove him to be an electric guitarist too (his debut album includes the Italian Premiere Recording of the famous piece “Trash TV Trance” for electric guitar by Fausto Romitelli).
   He's a member of the Icarus Contemporary Music Ensemble. They performed in the most important European Contemporary Music Festival such as HCMF (Huddersfield, England), Sincronie (Milan, Italy), Biennale Musica (Venice,Italy), Aperto Festival (Reggio Emilia, Italy), Gaida Festival ( Vilnius, Lithuania).
   In 2006 he founded the “Avantgarde Duo” with the flutist Gianni Biocotino. Born in 1982, he graduated from Istituto Musicale “A. Peri” in Reggio Emilia, studying with Claudio Piastra. He also studied with Carlos Bonell and Vladimir Mikulka.
He plays a 2002 Vicente Carrillo Guitar.
